Vance Petro develops oilfield water-treatment packages around the stated inlet chemistry, flow variation, outlet target, sludge route and field utilities. Project documentation can include process design, equipment data, inspection records, acceptance testing and operating guidance for the selected configuration.
We don't manufacture generic water treatment equipment. Every system we build is engineered specifically for the extreme demands of the oilfield environment — handling oil concentrations up to 5,000 mg/L, operating across temperatures from 5°C to 95°C, and managing salinities up to 150,000 mg/L TDS (including high-brine produced water from unconventional shale operations).

The first stage leverages gravity and density differential to achieve primary oil-water separation. Our API oil-water separator — designed to API 421 standards — removes free oil, floating oil films, and settleable solids from the incoming produced water stream.
Produced water often contains chemically stabilized emulsions that gravity alone cannot break. Our precision chemical dosing system injects three reagent classes in optimized sequence: Demulsifier, Coagulant, and Flocculant. Dosing rates are automatically controlled by PLC based on real-time flow and turbidity monitoring.
This is the critical polishing stage for suspended oil and fine particulate removal. Our DAF flotation unit generates millions of micro-bubbles (20–100 microns) that attach to oil droplets and suspended solids, carrying them to the surface for mechanical skimming.
Triple-media deep-bed polishing vessels using anthracite, quartz sand, and activated carbon to achieve final target effluent quality.

High-intensity UV disinfection chambers destroy bacteria, sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB), and other microorganisms without chemical residuals. Essential for preventing microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) in pipelines and injection wells.
For operators with zero-discharge mandates or maximum water reuse targets. High-pressure RO membranes reduce TDS to freshwater quality. Combined RO + thermal evaporation/crystallization achieves >95% water recovery with solid salt as the only final output.
Long-term produced water management for mature fields with rising water cuts up to 90%+.

Provide oil and grease, suspended solids, salinity, dissolved constituents and peak flow data. Reinjection, reuse and discharge require different treatment boundaries; an oil-removal percentage alone does not establish suitability.
Review sludge handling, consumables, utilities and the sampling plan together with outlet targets. Ask for performance evidence under a comparable inlet composition and operating load.
